DonCapi™ Sustainability Statement

Effective date: 2026
Website: DonCapi.com
Brand: DonCapi™
Email: Ciao@DonCapi.com

DonCapi™ is building a premium clothing and lifestyle brand with a long-term mindset.

We believe style should have presence, quality should matter, and fashion should be built with more care, less waste and more honesty.

This Sustainability Statement explains how DonCapi™ approaches materials, production, packaging, suppliers, print-on-demand, delivery, waste, product care and environmental claims.

We are at an early stage, so this statement is written honestly. We do not claim to be a fully sustainable brand. We do aim to make better choices as DonCapi™ grows.

1. Who We Are

In this statement, “DonCapi™”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to DonCapi™.

2. Our Sustainability Approach

DonCapi™ aims to build around the following principles:

  • choose quality over throwaway fashion;
  • avoid misleading environmental claims;
  • reduce unnecessary waste where possible;
  • work with more responsible suppliers where available;
  • use made-to-order or print-on-demand models where suitable;
  • improve packaging over time;
  • give customers clear care guidance;
  • provide honest product information;
  • review suppliers and products as the brand grows;
  • improve step by step rather than overpromise.

Sustainability is a process, not a slogan.

3. Honest Green Claims

DonCapi™ aims to avoid vague or exaggerated claims such as “100% sustainable”, “eco-friendly”, “green”, “planet positive” or “carbon neutral” unless we have clear evidence to support the claim.

Where we make environmental claims, we aim to ensure they are:

  • specific;
  • accurate;
  • clear;
  • relevant;
  • supported by evidence;
  • not exaggerated;
  • not hiding important information;
  • easy for customers to understand.

If a product uses organic cotton, recycled material, water-based inks, plastic-free packaging or another environmental feature, we aim to describe that feature clearly rather than making broad claims about the whole product.

4. Product Quality and Longer Use

One of the most practical sustainability steps in clothing is helping products last longer.

DonCapi™ aims to offer clothing that customers want to wear repeatedly, not throw away quickly.

We focus on:

  • wearable essentials;
  • timeless colours;
  • strong fit;
  • useful product information;
  • care guidance;
  • quality checks where practical;
  • reducing avoidable returns caused by unclear sizing or descriptions.

A product that is worn often and cared for well is usually better than one that is quickly discarded.

5. Materials

DonCapi™ may use a range of materials depending on the product, supplier and collection.

These may include:

  • cotton;
  • organic cotton, where available;
  • recycled polyester, where available;
  • polyester blends;
  • fleece;
  • jersey;
  • ribbed fabrics;
  • canvas;
  • embroidery thread;
  • packaging materials;
  • trims, labels and tags.

Where a product includes a specific material claim, we aim to show this clearly on the product page.

We do not want to suggest that a product is environmentally better unless we have a fair basis for saying so.

6. Organic, Recycled and Lower-Impact Materials

Where available, DonCapi™ may consider products that use:

  • organic cotton;
  • recycled fibres;
  • recycled packaging;
  • responsibly sourced materials;
  • lower-impact inks;
  • vegan-friendly materials;
  • certified fabrics;
  • reduced-plastic packaging.

However, we will aim to avoid overstating the benefit of any single material.

A product made with one recycled or organic component is not automatically “sustainable” overall. We aim to describe product features accurately and in context.

7. Print-on-Demand and Made-to-Order

Some DonCapi™ products may be made after a customer places an order.

This may include:

  • print-on-demand clothing;
  • embroidered items;
  • limited drops;
  • custom designs;
  • supplier-direct products.

Made-to-order and print-on-demand models may help reduce unnecessary stock and overproduction because items are not always produced in large quantities before demand is known.

However, these models can also involve longer dispatch times, supplier variation and delivery emissions depending on fulfilment location.

We aim to be transparent where products are made-to-order or fulfilled by third parties.

8. Reducing Overproduction

Fashion often creates waste through overproduction.

DonCapi™ aims to reduce overproduction risk by:

  • starting with focused collections;
  • avoiding unnecessary product overload;
  • testing products before scaling;
  • using limited drops where suitable;
  • using made-to-order or supplier-direct fulfilment where appropriate;
  • reviewing customer demand before expanding ranges;
  • removing poor-performing or low-quality products.

We would rather grow carefully than flood the store with items that do not match the DonCapi™ standard.

9. Packaging

Packaging may vary depending on the product and fulfilment method.

Some orders may be packed by:

  • DonCapi™;
  • a fulfilment partner;
  • a print-on-demand provider;
  • a supplier;
  • a warehouse.

As DonCapi™ grows, we aim to improve packaging by considering:

  • reduced excess packaging;
  • recyclable packaging where practical;
  • better-fit parcel sizes;
  • branded packaging used responsibly;
  • less unnecessary plastic;
  • packaging that protects products without waste;
  • clear return and care information.

We do not currently claim that all DonCapi™ packaging is plastic-free, recyclable or sustainable unless stated clearly for a specific product or order.

10. Delivery and Carbon Impact

Delivery has an environmental impact.

DonCapi™ may use couriers, postal services, fulfilment partners, suppliers and warehouses to deliver orders.

We aim to reduce avoidable delivery impact where practical by:

  • providing clear product information;
  • reducing avoidable returns;
  • giving better size guidance;
  • improving product quality checks;
  • using reliable fulfilment partners;
  • considering UK or closer fulfilment options where suitable;
  • avoiding unnecessary split shipments where practical.

Some orders may still arrive in separate parcels if products come from different fulfilment partners or production locations.

11. Returns and Waste

Returns can increase transport emissions, packaging use and waste.

DonCapi™ aims to reduce avoidable returns by providing:

  • clear product descriptions;
  • product images;
  • size guidance;
  • fit descriptions;
  • care advice;
  • customer support before purchase;
  • clear return rules.

We encourage customers to check sizing carefully before ordering.

Where returned items are received in resaleable condition, we aim to handle them responsibly where possible.

12. Clothing Care

How clothing is washed, dried and stored can affect its lifespan and environmental impact.

Customers can help by:

  • washing at lower temperatures where suitable;
  • washing only when needed;
  • air drying where possible;
  • avoiding tumble drying where not needed;
  • following care labels;
  • repairing minor issues where practical;
  • donating or responsibly recycling clothing they no longer wear.

Please read our Clothing Care Guide for more detailed advice.

13. Supplier Standards

DonCapi™ aims to work with suppliers and fulfilment partners that can support:

  • product quality;
  • lawful operations;
  • reliable fulfilment;
  • fair customer service;
  • accurate product information;
  • ethical sourcing expectations;
  • responsible business practices.

As a growing brand, we may not have full visibility over every lower-tier supplier at all times. We aim to improve supplier review and transparency as the business develops.

Please read our Modern Slavery & Ethical Sourcing Statement for more information.

14. Avoiding Counterfeit and Poor-Quality Products

Counterfeit and low-quality products can contribute to waste and harm customer trust.

DonCapi™ does not knowingly sell counterfeit products.

We aim to avoid suppliers, products or listings that appear:

  • fake;
  • copied;
  • misleading;
  • poor quality;
  • unsafe;
  • inconsistent with DonCapi™ standards;
  • unsupported by reliable fulfilment.

If we identify a product or supplier that does not meet our standards, we may remove it.

15. Product Testing and Review

Where practical, DonCapi™ aims to review products through:

  • sample orders;
  • fit checks;
  • fabric checks;
  • print or embroidery checks;
  • packaging checks;
  • delivery checks;
  • customer feedback;
  • supplier communication;
  • return reasons;
  • complaint patterns.

This helps us improve quality and reduce waste from poor product selection.

16. Sustainability and Pricing

We want DonCapi™ to offer premium value, but we also recognise that extremely low prices can sometimes be linked to poor quality, poor working conditions or disposable fashion habits.

Our aim is to balance:

  • product quality;
  • fair customer value;
  • supplier reliability;
  • ethical concerns;
  • reduced waste;
  • long-term brand trust.

DonCapi™ is not trying to be the cheapest clothing brand. We are trying to build a better one.

17. What We Do Not Claim

To avoid misleading customers, DonCapi™ does not claim that:

  • all products are sustainable;
  • all products are eco-friendly;
  • all products are carbon neutral;
  • all packaging is plastic-free;
  • all materials are organic or recycled;
  • all suppliers are fully audited by DonCapi™;
  • all products are made in the UK;
  • all delivery is low-carbon;
  • all production has no environmental impact.

Where specific environmental features apply, we aim to state them clearly and accurately.

18. Future Improvements

As DonCapi™ grows, we aim to improve:

  • supplier transparency;
  • product testing;
  • material selection;
  • packaging choices;
  • product durability;
  • sizing accuracy;
  • waste reduction;
  • return reduction;
  • customer education;
  • ethical sourcing checks;
  • environmental claim evidence;
  • sustainability reporting.

We expect this statement to develop over time.

19. Customer Responsibility

Customers can support better clothing habits by:

  • buying only what they need;
  • checking sizes before ordering;
  • choosing versatile pieces;
  • caring for clothing properly;
  • washing responsibly;
  • repairing minor damage where practical;
  • donating unwanted clothing;
  • recycling textiles where possible;
  • avoiding counterfeit sellers.

Sustainability is not only about how clothing is made. It is also about how it is used.
