This Affiliate Disclosure & Advertising Disclosure Policy explains how DonCapi™ handles affiliate links, creator codes, influencer partnerships, paid collaborations, gifted products, sponsored content, reviews, recommendations and advertising disclosures.
DonCapi™ believes marketing should be clear, honest and easy to understand.
If content is advertising, paid, gifted, sponsored, affiliated or commercially connected to DonCapi™, that relationship should be made clear.
This policy should be read together with our Terms and Conditions, Promotion Terms, Customer Reviews & User Content Policy, Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Newsletter & Marketing Preferences Policy, and any campaign-specific terms.
1. Who We Are
DonCapi™
41 Norman Avenue
London
N22 5ES
United Kingdom
Email: Ciao@DonCapi.com
Website: DonCapi.com
In this policy, “DonCapi™”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to DonCapi™. “You” and “your” may refer to customers, website users, creators, influencers, affiliates, partners and collaborators.
2. Purpose of This Policy
This policy explains:
- when content may be advertising;
- when affiliate links or discount codes should be disclosed;
- how creators should disclose paid or gifted relationships;
- how DonCapi™ may use affiliate marketing;
- how customers can identify commercial content;
- how reviews and recommendations should stay honest;
- what DonCapi™ expects from creators, affiliates and partners.
Our aim is simple:
If there is a commercial connection, it should be clear.
3. What Counts as Advertising or Commercial Content?
Content may be advertising or commercial content if there is a connection between DonCapi™ and the person or platform promoting it.
This may include:
- paid posts;
- sponsored posts;
- gifted products;
- free samples;
- affiliate links;
- commission links;
- discount codes;
- creator codes;
- ambassador content;
- brand collaborations;
- paid reviews;
- product placement;
- competitions;
- giveaways;
- paid advertorials;
- PR packages;
- content where DonCapi™ has approval or control;
- content where the creator receives any benefit.
A benefit does not have to be cash. It can include free clothing, discounts, commission, store credit, event access, early access, exposure or another incentive.
4. Affiliate Links
Some links on DonCapi.com, in emails, in the Journal, in Lookbook content, on social media, or in partner content may be affiliate links.
An affiliate link means that DonCapi™ or a creator may earn commission, store credit, payment or another benefit if you click the link or make a purchase.
Where affiliate links are used, the commercial nature should be clear.
Example disclosure wording:
“This page may contain affiliate links. If you buy through these links, DonCapi™ or the creator may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.”
5. Creator and Influencer Codes
DonCapi™ may give discount codes to creators, influencers, ambassadors or affiliates.
These codes may be used to:
- give customers a discount;
- track creator performance;
- pay commission;
- measure campaign results;
- support collaborations;
- reward referrals.
If a creator earns commission or receives a benefit from a code, they should make that clear when sharing it.
Example disclosure wording:
“Ad — I may earn commission if you use my DonCapi™ code.”
6. Paid Partnerships
If DonCapi™ pays a creator, influencer, publisher, model, photographer, stylist, affiliate or partner to promote DonCapi™, the content should be clearly disclosed as advertising.
Suitable labels may include:
- Ad
- Advert
- Advertisement
- Paid partnership
- Sponsored by DonCapi™
The disclosure should be clear, upfront and easy to notice.
It should not be hidden at the end of a caption, buried in hashtags or placed where customers are unlikely to see it.
7. Gifted Products and PR Samples
If DonCapi™ sends free products, gifts, PR packages, samples or early access to a creator, this should be disclosed where content is posted about those products.
Suitable labels may include:
- Gifted
- PR product
- Gifted by DonCapi™
- Ad — gifted product
- Received from DonCapi™
If DonCapi™ also has control over the content, asks for specific wording, approves the post, gives instructions or provides payment, the content may need to be labelled more clearly as an advertisement, such as Ad.
8. Affiliate Disclosure Examples
Depending on the platform and content, suitable wording may include:
For a blog or Journal article:
“This article may contain affiliate links. If you buy through these links, DonCapi™ may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.”
For a social media post:
“Ad — contains affiliate link.”
For a creator discount code:
“Ad — use my DonCapi™ code. I may earn commission.”
For a gifted product post:
“Gifted by DonCapi™.”
For a sponsored campaign:
“Ad — paid partnership with DonCapi™.”
For a video:
“This video includes a paid partnership with DonCapi™.”
9. Clear and Prominent Disclosure
Advertising disclosures should be easy to see and understand.
Disclosures should be:
- upfront;
- visible;
- clear;
- unambiguous;
- not hidden in a long list of hashtags;
- not placed only at the end of content;
- shown before or at the same time as the commercial message;
- repeated where content is long, split or appears in multiple parts.
For videos, stories, reels or live content, disclosure may need to appear visually and/or verbally so viewers understand the content is advertising.
10. Hashtags and Labels
Creators and partners should use clear labels.
Good examples include:
- #Ad
- #Advert
- #Advertisement
- Paid partnership
- Sponsored by DonCapi™
- Gifted by DonCapi™
- Affiliate link
Weak or unclear labels should be avoided where they may confuse people.
Examples that may be unclear on their own include:
- #sp
- #spon
- #collab
- #thanks
- #partner
- #ambassador
- vague emojis only;
- hidden disclosure after many hashtags.
The aim is not to be clever.
The aim is to be clear.
11. Reviews and Recommendations
Reviews and recommendations connected to DonCapi™ should be honest.
Creators, affiliates and customers must not:
- make false claims;
- hide commercial relationships;
- pretend a paid post is independent;
- claim to own or use a product if they have not;
- exaggerate product quality;
- mislead about fit, delivery or returns;
- fake before/after results;
- copy another person’s review;
- make unsupported claims about sustainability, ethics or product performance.
If a creator receives payment, gift, discount, commission or another benefit, that relationship should be disclosed.
12. DonCapi™ Reviews and Testimonials
If DonCapi™ uses reviews, testimonials or customer content in advertising, we aim to ensure the content is genuine and not misleading.
We may use customer reviews in:
- product pages;
- homepage sections;
- advertisements;
- social media;
- emails;
- Lookbook pages;
- Journal posts;
- campaign pages.
Where a review was incentivised, gifted or connected to a collaboration, that should be made clear where required.
Please read our Customer Reviews & User Content Policy.
13. Influencer and Creator Responsibilities
Creators, influencers, ambassadors, affiliates and partners working with DonCapi™ are responsible for following applicable advertising rules and platform rules.

Separate affiliate or creator terms may apply.
16. Discount Code Disclosure

Examples:
“Use code MARCO10 for 10% off — Ad, I may earn commission.”
“Gifted by DonCapi™ — use my code for a discount.”
“Paid partnership with DonCapi™.”
17. Giveaways and Competitions
If DonCapi™ runs giveaways with creators or partners, commercial relationships should be clear.
Giveaway posts should explain:
- who is running the promotion;
- entry requirements;
- opening date;
- closing date;
- prize details;
- eligibility;
- any commercial relationship;
- whether the post is an advert;
- where full terms can be found.
Please read our Promotion Terms for general promotion rules.
18. Own-Brand Content
Content posted by DonCapi™ on its own website, email list or social media channels is brand marketing unless clearly stated otherwise.
DonCapi™ may promote its own products, collections, discounts, Journal posts, Lookbook features and brand updates.
We aim for our own advertising and marketing to be accurate, clear and not misleading.
19. Third-Party Advertisements
DonCapi.com may show, link to or mention third-party products, services or platforms.
Where third-party content is paid, sponsored, affiliated or otherwise commercial, we aim to make that clear where required.
DonCapi™ is not responsible for the content, policies or services of third-party websites.
20. Editorial Content
DonCapi™ Journal, Lookbook or style content may include editorial opinions, styling advice, product recommendations or collection stories.
If editorial content includes commercial links, affiliate relationships, gifted products or sponsored placements, we aim to disclose that clearly.
Editorial content should not be used to hide advertising.
21. Sustainability, Ethical and Quality Claims
Creators and partners must be careful when making claims about DonCapi™ products.
They should not claim that DonCapi™ products are:
- fully sustainable;
- eco-friendly;
- carbon neutral;
- ethically made;
- organic;
- recycled;
- made in the UK;
- luxury-grade;
- guaranteed to last forever;
unless DonCapi™ has provided clear evidence and approved the claim.
Claims about sustainability, quality, sourcing and performance should be specific and accurate.
22. No Misleading Urgency or Scarcity
Creators and affiliates should not mislead customers by claiming:
- “only one left”;
- “ending today”;
- “last chance”;
- “sold out everywhere”;
- “exclusive”;
- “guaranteed delivery”;
unless the claim is true and supported by current information.
23. Platform Rules
Creators and partners should also follow the rules of the platform they use, including where relevant:
- Instagram;
- TikTok;
- YouTube;
- Facebook;
- Pinterest;
- X/Twitter;
- blogs;
- podcasts;
- email newsletters;
- affiliate networks.
Platform tools, such as “Paid Partnership” labels, may be useful but may not always be enough on their own. Content should still be clearly understandable to the audience.
24. Reporting Undisclosed Advertising
If you believe DonCapi™ content, creator content, affiliate content or a partner post does not properly disclose a commercial relationship, contact:
Please include:
- link to the content;
- screenshot;
- creator or account name;
- reason for concern;
- date seen;
- any other relevant details.
We will review credible concerns and consider appropriate action.
